As I read this, I feel so lucky to have been there in person. My favorite thing about one the loveliest weekends I have in my life, was getting to spend time with you and Tim. The weekend was like spending time at a boutique resort run by the nicest friends. Sorry to hear of your cleaning frustration. I hope you can figure out a solution. Having stayed with you earlier in the year I can visualise exactly where you would be demonstrating. Everything looked so appetising & very professional. I confess I am a little envious that we weren’t there to join in. Oh well next year perhaps !! All the very best for the rest of the season.
Perhaps give Silvie a bit more time. I believe getting the hang of things takes a long time. There's a difference between owning a business and working for it. That's a worldwide thing. I had a few mistakes in my garden. My newly bought rose turned out orange and the bulbs bright red. (What is it with bulbs turning out to be totally different colours?). The clash was perfect. I left my white south garden theme. Way more exiting now.😉
So glad the cookery weekend was a success , you really seemed to enjoy it all and the finished tarts looked very good and wouldn’t look out of place in your local patisserie

Hi Rebecca, thank you once again for your beautiful blog. I can understand about your cleaning people I cleaned for like 50 years and now I have two girls cleaning my apartment and there’s always stuff that they don’t do. It’s a bit aggravating, but it’s hard to find good cleaning people. I want to ask you about peonies do you grow them in your garden? We had a pee festival these last couple weeks not too far from where I live. I bought tickets months ago, but because of pain in my back I couldn’t go, but my friend brought me the 10 pennies and they’re absolutely gorgeous. I have one peony bush along the fence which my brother gave me. He said it was pink, but it’s not it’s red I like the pale pale pink ones hopefully in the fall, I’ll buy another one your weekend with the foodies sounds like lots of fun, but also lots of work greetings from southern Ontario Canada. 😊🇨🇦👍

I've just started watching Escape To The Chateau DIY, again you have just had septic tanks put in. How far you have come ....its amazing 👏 🤩
