Sunday 12th January
Hot steam rises from the sheet draped over the ironing board, scenting the air with that beautiful fresh laundry smell. I don’t mind ironing at all on a day like this, outside it’s freezing, the sky an icy white, though I can’t really see it, the old glass of the windows misted and damp with the quickly condensing steam.
