Oh gosh Rebecca, that must have been such a shock. Glad no one was injured and Tim worked his magic. You are both always so busy, not sure where you find the energy. Have a great week. X

Your journal is such a memorable part of my life in Australia.

I look forward to my French escape with you and Tim.

My husband and I have had the good fortune to visit France five times and it beckons us to return.

Your commitment and passion are so inspiring and your command of the written word is pure poetry.

You possess the unique gift of creating such pure and clear images evoking all our senses.

Perhaps one day, there will be an opportunity to visit and stay in your gorgeous home.

I wish you a successful tourist season with hopefully some more opportunities for a family getaway.

Kind regards, Lynne xx

Oh Rebecca, my heart was hammering just reading about the chandelier never mind actually being there! Very jealous of those lovely linens - wish I could come and browse in your little shop 😊

Oh goodness what a shock! The thought of the chandelier falling to the floor and smashing made my heart beat faster. Well done to Tim for getting it back in shape and up again in time for the guests arrival. I was impressed at your use of the word 'wuthering' - a word I'm very familiar with, having studied Wuthering Heights for 'O' levels, but I've never used it myself.

Tim, you are a magician. Whilst I was sad to hear about the chandelier, I am so happy that you didn’t fall from the ladder, as I was expecting you to write! Phew! All the very best for the new season ahead. It sounds like you are ahead of the preparations. I can’t wait to see some retreat photos. xxxx

Oh Rebecca I totally felt your anguish when I read the paragraphs about the Garden Room bathroom’s chandelier as I know how you cherish all the chandeliers in the chateau and in particular this one! I’m so pleased that Tim managed to work his magic to make it work until you can make a proper fix.

I could just feel your stomach (and heart!) drop along with the chandelier 😳

Glad you were able to salvage it, especially since it's one of your favorites!

I entirely feel your pain about the dropped chandelier and shattered pampilles! If it's any comfort ( our Château is in Normandie) I did almost the same thing last year.....basically it was a choice between me falling off the steps or the chandelier biting the dust...and I went for the latter. We have since acquired many spare pampilles at vide greniers if you need something specific 😀
